Jobs Waiting is a new workforce program designed to support your recruiting efforts by expanding the pool of focused, committed candidates to fill positions in your organization, including those that are hard to fill. Jobs Waiting has been proven to reduce recruiting costs and employee turnover.

Qualified Candidates

Jobs Waiting provides employers with access to a vetted group of prospective employees who have undergone rigorous career readiness training. Once you have decided to work with us, we will work closely with you to identify the skills and qualifications needed to fill your open positions and provide you with access to an online database of candidate resumes.


Online Job Postings

As a member employer, you will be able to post your open positions to our website to promote awareness of your job openings to qualified candidates.


Financial Incentives 

Jobs Waiting has funds available to assist you in training our candidates and in up-skilling those already working for you. These opportunities include:

Paid Work Tryouts: Employers may “try out” a graduate of the Jobs Waiting program to see if he/she is a good match, in a risk-free environment. A stipend equal to 100 percent of the incumbent worker wage is paid by the program for a two to six-week period.

On-the-job (OJT) training: Employers receive funds for occupational training and skills development in preparation for the position they have been hired for in the organization. The grant pays between 50 and 90 percent of the employee’s wages, depending on the company’s size, for a period of up to six months.

Customized Incumbent Worker training*: Employers receive funds to pay for classroom-based training for groups of employees with specific needs, such as industry certifications and customer service and management training, at up to 50 percent of the cost of training.
